Project:  Total Bathroom Remodel
Location:  Barre, VT
Year Completed:  2009

This was a major bathroom renovation on a main bath of a split level ranch built back in the 60's or 70's.  The home had raised a family and the bathroom was worn out.  A lack of proper venting and some leaking tiles around the tub and shower had created a mold and mildew problem that needed a major rehabilitation.  Th homeowner invested some sweat equity in the demolition of the bathroom and we arrived to a mostly stripped shell.

The layout stayed the same with one small addition of some custom built in shelves that were recessed into the wall opposite the vanity.  The space was gained by the shelves jutting into a large and mostly unused closet in an adjoining room.  The floor was tiled and waterproofed with Ditra underlayment, and a new shower unit was installed.  A new vanity, toilet, and Panasonic bath fan/light was installed.

This project lasted about a week and a half and transformed a worn out health hazard in to a bright, clean bathroom for the owners to enjoy for years to come.
